About Cailyn

Cailyn Hoang is an associate attorney dedicated to providing thoughtful, client-centered legal advocacy in the world of family law.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Cailyn graduated summa cum laude with her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology and Psychological Science from Ball State University in 2021. While studying at Ball State University, Cailyn completed an internship at Freedman Law, P.C. and studied abroad in England, which solidified her passion for law. Cailyn then earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2025, with a concentration in criminal law.

During law school, Cailyn distinguished herself through both academic excellence and public service. She served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Walter H. Rice of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, gaining invaluable experience in federal practice. She was also a Leadership Honors Program scholarship recipient and received multiple academic recognitions, including two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for being top in her civil procedure and pardon project classes.

Cailyn’s scholarly work earned significant acknowledgment as well. She is a published author in the University of Dayton Law Review Journal and received the Law Review Journal’s Top Comment Award for her Comment Smile! You’re on Camera: Police Use of Automatic License Plate Readers and the Need for Statewide Legislation. Committed to community impact, Cailyn earned the Pro Bono Service Award for her work with the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project, where she worked with clients to receive pardons from the Ohio Governor.

Outside the office, Cailyn enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and attending concerts. Cailyn also has a passion for home interior design, often doing DIY projects or finding new ways to decorate her home.

Cailyn brings this same compassion and dedication to her work in family law, where she strives to support clients through life’s most personal and challenging transitions.
